I have to tell you – I have been stinkin’ busy for the last two months! I am so grateful for my wonderful clients and the new opportunities I’ve been a part of, but I’m tired! I know you get it.
So, why am I telling you this? Because I wanted to ruminate on the idea of Time for a moment.
- We need it, spend it, lose it and keep it.
- It goes by slowly when we’re young or when doing something we don’t like
- It disappears in the blink of an eye when we’re older or when we’re doing something we love
But time isn’t anything…it’s not tangible…it’s something that humans have built a construct around to make it understandable and predictable. I’m sure that’s not the complete story, but I’m just brain-dumping for you right now – no research here. Hah!
So what does that mean for you and me? I’m looking at it as a wake-up call to be present every moment, do as much of what I love as I can, be with those I love as often as possible and truly experience life. Because that’s what our time really is – our life. So, when we’re crazy busy, like I’ve been lately, let’s try not to worry so much about time and how much of it we don’t have. Let’s focus instead on making sure that the things filling that time (that life) are worthy of it.
